Frederick M. Purdue - Board of Directors

Frederick M. Purdue is a retired senior executive corporate officer with over 40 years of experience in two Fortune 200 companies, focusing particularly on business-critical change leadership roles. As for his own leadership, Fred has held positions of accountability for all aspects of global supply chain operations, engineering & materials, total quality & general operations management. He has managed businesses with revenues ranging from $20 million to $4 billion dollars.

Mr. Purdue's accomplishments emphasize his skills in the synthesis & improved efficiency of operations, having been involved in the re-staffing & re-skilling of multiple organizations with multiple operations. He has led projects instrumental in the re-skilling, downsizing & ultimate consolidation of a corporate manufacturing operation that induced cost improvements of more than $100 million dollars annually of operation expenese efficiency, overhead elimination & global consolidation.

Additionally, Mr. Purdue was extremely successful in creating a strategic sourcing competency & consolidating a corporate procurement group that led to the achievement of over $200 million dollars annually in cost reductions while creating & enabling game-changing technology partnerships & manufacturing outsourcing.

Mr. Purdue has also shared his expertise as a featured lecturer at renowned universities, including MIT's Sloan School, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institue, Boston University Business School Center for Enterprise Leadership (chairman) & the University of Connecticut's MBA Program. He has been quoted in multiple books on management, most recently Jim Collin's best-selling Good To Great, & has been featured in the change management role on national television. He received his BSME from Lafayette College.

Joseph E. Wall – Board of Directors

Joseph E. Wall, S.M., Ph.D., is a retired Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with over 30 years of experience in three Fortune 200 companies, focusing particularly on technology advances, new product development and business strategy. His leadership has led to significant breakthroughs in research and development as well as advancements in the development of intellectual property and common architecture. Dr. Wall has held positions of accountability for all aspects of engineering, innovative concept development, research and development and strategic vision formation. He has led critical cutting-edge engineering and technology organizations in businesses with revenues ranging from $2 to $12 billion.

Dr. Wall’s accomplishments emphasize his skills in establishing vision and strategy while structuring global organizations, partnerships and relationships to realize success beyond the original objectives established. He has led innovative global projects instrumental in replacing entire product lines while emphasizing process discipline, modular architecture and ground-breaking technology. For the eight years before his retirement in 2008, Dr. Wall had introduced new products with a five-year gross profit forecast averaging over $2 billion.

Additionally, for over a decade, Dr. Wall has served on Executive Leadership Teams where he has provided vision and counsel to the CEO. He guided the Engineering and Research Team to place consistently among the Top 200 US patent holders with 100 patents annually.

Dr. Wall has a most distinguished academic background as well. He graduated from Tulane University with B.S.E. with Honors in Electrical Engineering where he was President of Tau Beta Pi (National Engineering Honor Society), a National Merit Scholar and School of Engineering Scholar. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Vinton Hayes Fellow in Communications and a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow and received his S.M.E.E. (thesis: “Determination of Neonatal State by Computer”) and his Ph.D. (thesis: “Control and Estimation of Large-Scale? Systems Having Spatial Symmetry”)

Dr. Wall’s ongoing advice and counsel on innovation and strategic direction for Natural Power Solutions, LLC, as well as his recommendations for developing and securing patents, enable NPS to address a broader spectrum of energy challenges for businesses of requiring innovative and complex solutions. 

 


Rungson Samroengraja – Board of Directors

Dr. Rungson Samroengraja has over 20 years experience in program management, systems implementation and engineering. He is currently Chief Technology Officer at Sio Capital Management, a global healthcare hedge fund where he is responsible for the company’s technology infrastructure, portfolio analytics and research management systems.

Dr. Samroengraja was formerly Vice President, New Product Development at Pitney Bowes. He managed an annual development and engineering budget of $80M with teams in the US, UK, France, and China. Prior to this role, Dr. Samroengraja was Vice President, Supply Chain and Business Process Engineering. He managed a staff of over 100 engineers and six sigma black belts responsible for setting up and improving manufacturing and distribution operations.

Prior to Pitney Bowes, Dr. Samroengraja was a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton (now Booz & Co.). He provided strategic, analytic-based solutions to senior management of Fortune 100 companies. He specialized in operations consulting for energy and technology companies. Other work experiences include running the consulting group for Dash Optimization (a startup focused on optimization software, recently acquired by Fair Isaac). He has also served as Adjunct Professor of Operations for NYU’s Stern School of Business and Columbia Business School.

Dr. Samroengraja holds a PhD in Operations Research from Columbia Business School and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
